Rappaport Named IEEE GlobeCom 2004 Technical Program Chairman

Professor Ted Rappaport will serve as the Technical Program Chairman for the IEEE 2004 Global Communications Conference. The conference will be held November 29 - December 4, 2004, in Dallas, TX at the Downtown Dallas Hyatt Regency. Many Texas researchers from industry and academia have signed up to help organize the program. WNCG Professors Jeff Andrews, Robert Heath, and Brian Evans are assisting with the technical program, as are several faculty from Texas A&M and The University of Texas at Arlington.

The Technical Program committee is responsible for the entire technical program, featuring over 1500 technical presentations and tutorials that cover cutting-edge topics in the communications field. IEEE Globecom is the IEEE Communication Society's largest annual Fall conference, and will include over 2500 of the world's leaders in research and development of communications.
