Wireless Friday Seminar Series

The Wireless Networking and Communications Seminar was founded in the fall of 1996 by Professor Brian Evans, and is currently co-organized by Professor Robert Heath. The series brings together many of the engineers, students, and faculty that make up the Austin high-tech telecom ecosystem. These seminars are open to the public, and are held in ENS 637 on Fridays from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Currently, IBM Tivoli Systems and the Texas Telecommunications Engineering Consortium (TxTEC) sponsor the seminar.

Premier local, national, and international speakers from industry and academia have been invited to speak. Past topics have included
  • Networked wireless communication
  • Wired communication
  • Signal processing & image processing systems

The seminars are advertised to the engineering community on campus and throughout central Texas. The Web site for the seminar series is available at http://signal.ece.utexas.edu/seminars.
