Yokogawa Joins WNCG as a New Affiliate

WNCG is looking forward to the addition of a new industrial affiliate from Japan: Yokogawa Electric Corporation.Yokogawa is an internationally known company working in the area of industrial automation and control; test and measurement; and information systems.

The partnership is natural, given some of WNCG's increased focus on applications of large scale control over wireless networks. Applications of these ideas are increasingly prevalent, from power and energy systems, to sensor and ad hoc networks performing sensing and control tasks over wireless links.

Yokogawa will be working closely with Prof. Caramanis, as well as Profs. Arapostathis, de Veciana, and Shakkottai, among others, through visits to WNCG from Japan, and primarily through a long term visiting scientist who will be working closely with Caramanis's group.
