2008 Texas Wireless Summit

The 2008 Texas Wireless Summit was held October 14-16, 2008 at the Hilton Austin Hotel

This year's Summit was designed to facilitate networking and interactive discussions that stimulated thinking and provided attendees with key insights on the future of the wireless industry. The theme of this year's Summit was "Open". Keynote presentations and panel discussions on the topic addressed the industry shift that the industry is experiencing towards open networks, platforms and operating systems, as well as applications and new open business models. In addition, the 2008 Texas Wireless Summit addressed the critical political and regulatory environment that underpins many of the opportunities and challenges that the industry will face as a result of this shift.

Ten presentations were provided by WNCG students. In addition, Prof. Brian Evans of WNCG was one of the keynote speakers.
