TxTEC Technology EXPO a Success

The Texas Telecommunications Engineering Consortium (TxTEC) sponsored an afternoon-long technology expo on February 23, 2004 at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. The focus of the event was to provide an afternoon for students to learn more about the telecommunications industry. The event included panelists from TxTECs six industry partners - Fujitsu, Motorola, Nortel, SBC Communications, Texas Instruments, and MCI. Motorola, SBC, and Texas Instruments are also valued members of the WNCG Industrial Affiliates Program. The expo was attended by over 200 students interested in taking advantage of this valuable chance to learn and to network with leaders from the top companies in the field.

TxTEC Scholars and Fellows were also recognized at the event. These scholarships and fellowships are supported by the telecommunications industry via TxTEC. TxTEC awards over 15 fellowships and scholarships annually.
