WNCG Announces Student Leadership Award

The Wireless Networking and Communications Group announced the creation of an award to recognize student leadership and involvement in its community. The WNCG Leadership Award is intended to recognize WNCG student members that have not only exhibited excellence in research and academics but also specifically targets students with a track record of  leadership in their interactions with the WNCG community as a whole, and in promoting an environment of cooperation and greater interaction with industry, community and their peers. 

 WNCG Director G. de Veciana indicated that this award was intended to recognize those who go above and beyond the ordinary in promoting and developing teamwork and community within WNCG. He was encouraged by the unanimous agreement among WNCG faculty for the creation of this award and said that specifics on the award and its nomination process are still being worked out.
