Symposium Gets New Name, Registration Begins

Due to an increased scope this year, the 3rd annual WNCG-hosted wireless networking symposium has been renamed "The 2005 Texas Wireless Symposium, host ed by WNCG".   The new name reflects an increased participation by the Austin Wireless Alliance, and the goal of making the symposium the one-stop shop for cutting edge knowledge and research for all members of the Texas wireless community, including all areas of research, product development, finance and regulation. 

 

This year’s symposium will include a lineup of key business and government leaders. Keynote speakers include Mr. Steve Largent, Chief Executive Officer and President, Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association; Mr. Dick Lynch, Executive Vice President and CTO, Verizon Wireless; Dr. Alan Gatherer, Chief Technical Officer, Communications Infrastructure, Texas Instruments; Dr. Ian Opperman, Director, Product Business Operation Solutions, Nokia Networks; Dr. Victor Bahl. Group Manager, Systems and Networking Research Group, Microsoft; Dr. Bob Scholtz, Director, UltRalab, University of Southern California; Dr. Reinaldo Valenzuela, Director of Wireless Communications Research, Bell Labs.
