Rappaport Receives Hewlett Packard Equipment Donation Hewlett Packard recently donated equipment valued at almost $6,000 to Professor Ted Rappaport, Director of WNCG, to be used in his research on wireless communications. This state-of-the-art equipment consists of a Hewlett Packard Compaq Tablet Computer and several Hewlett Packard IPAQ PDAs. Professor Rappaport and his graduate students will use this equipment to conduct site-specific radio propagation measurements and performance modeling in indoor wireless environments. With its built-in WiFi capabilities, it is expected that this equipment will be invaluable in modeling IEEE's 802.11b channel properties and application performance. |
