2007 Spring Graduates

Four WNCG students earned doctoral degrees in Electrical Engineering this spring from the University of Texas as Austin. The students include two WNCG Leadership Award Winners who attribute their success to WNCG’s faculty and interactive research environment.

“WNCG [has] provided a great environment for students to engage in scholarly exchange with leaders in the field of wireless communication both in academia and industry, and the possible future leaders in the field, i.e. fellow graduate students; thus, allowing us to enhance our technical skills and broaden our knowledge in this field,” said Dr. Ian Wong.

Dr. Jeremy Chen looks back on his years with WNCG as a period of challenge and accomplishment, “I joined WNCG in Fall 2002 when WNCG just launched.  It is my honor to see and participate in the growth and development of WNCG during the past five years.  Being able to observe this history is a precious experience to me.”
