WNCG Hosts Open House for Affiliates

On February 8, 2007, the Wireless Networking and Communications Group hosted their first annual Affiliate Open House at the University of Texas at Austin. AT&T, Freescale, National Instruments, Nortel, Texas Instruments & QUALCOMM were in attendance along with the majority of the over 80 WNCG students and faculty. Representatives from each company presented a panel discussion on the industry and WNCG students and faculty presented research. Affiliates were also given the opportunity to meet with students individually.

“The open house is a great opportunity for recruitment for our sponsor companies and provides wide exposure for our students’ research,” said Prof. Sanjay Shakkottai, who organized the 2007 event.
