WICON 2007 Hosted by WNCG in Austin

The Wireless Internet Conference (WICON) took place at the Thomson Conference Center at The University of Texas at Austin, Texas, during October 22-24, 2007. WICON aims to become a premier international forum to discuss innovation related to wireless Internet. WNCG was delighted to sponsor the best paper award at WICON'07. Through rigorous selection process, the committee selected the following paper for the best paper award: "Understanding Link-level 802.11 Behavior: Replacing Convention With Measurement", authored by Glenn Judd and Peter Steenkiste of Carnegie Mellon University.

In addition to sponsoring the best paper award, WNCG faculty were involved in various aspects of the conference organizations. Prof. Lili Qiu led the conference as a General Co-Chair, Prof. Sanjay Shakkotai as Poster/Demo Chair, Prof. Sriram Vishwanath served as Local Arrangement Chair. Prof. Robert Heath and Prof. Lili Qiu shared their research experiences during a discussion panel.
