Dr. Sriram Vishwanath received his B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras, M.S. from CalTech and his Ph.D. from Stanford University, all in Electrical Engineering. His research is primarily in the physical through network layers with a focus on MIMO systems, cognitive radio, wireless networks, coding and low complexity computation. His industry experience includes work at the National Semiconductor Corporation, CA and at the Lucent Bell labs, NJ. He received the National Science Foundation CAREER award and the IEEE Communications society/Information Theory society best paper award in 2005.
