WNCG Sponsorship

WNCG would not be possible without the support of our affiliates and sponsors. With this outside funding, we are able to provide equipment, lab space, tuition, funding and administrative support to faculty and students within the group.

Industrial Affiliate Membership: This is our most frequently selected option and key to our success. For $50,000 per year (with a three-year minimum commitment), affiliate sponsors receive access to WNCG faculty and students in the form of site visits, conference calls and annual meetings.

To our affiliates, WNCG is a high impact investment that leverages a multi-disciplinary, multi-million dollar research program, driven by leading faculty and students. Industrial affiliates also benefit directly from the fact that WNCG operates and functions as a cohesive center leveraging an increasing level of industry and federal funding.

Companies receive quarterly, all publications published by our faculty and students as well as unpublished technical reports. They have the opportunity to work at WNCG (with prior approval) for up to one week in our labs, as well as attend the annual symposium sponsored by the Austin Wireless Alliance and WNCG each fall. Access to WNCG faculty and students as well as others in the Austin wireless community is an unparalleled opportunity.

Industrial affiliate sponsored research: A WNCG affiliate can connect with one or more faculty and research staff to pursue focused research in a particular area. At a minimum of $100,000 per year they will receive full non exclusive intellectual property rights – license-fee free and royalty free – to all work developed during the sponsorship period.

Directed research: This includes other forms of support, including state and federally sponsored research projects.
